Standard Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for the LFP Battery (2023)

At the Nov. 1, 2023 info meeting hosted by Evolugen at the FHCC this SDS was not mentioned. Why?

We must stop Fitzroy BESS to protect our community and to protect our environment.

  • Navico Group is based in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin. They manufacture and sell lithium iron phosphate batteries. (Last we heard, the lfp battery was the type that Evolugen was leaning towards.) The link above takes you directly to the safety data sheet that the Navico Group  provides to buyers/prospective buyers of these batteries.

  • Section 2 of the SDS  - Hazards Identification -  Emergency Overview - states, "In case of rupture (unlikely but not impossible) the following hazards exist" :

H370 - Causes damage to organs (digestive system)

H335 - May cause respratory irritation

H251 - self heating; may catch fire

H351 - Suspected of causing cancer

H372 - Causes damage to organs through prolonged or repeated exposure (lung)

P260 - Do not breathe dust

CAS# 7440-50-8 Specific target organ toxicity, single exposure (1) (digestive system)

Specific target organ toxicity, single exposure; Respiratory tract irritation (30)

P312 - Call a Poison Centre  if you feel unwell

CAS# 7429-90-5 - Specific target organ toxicity, repeated exposure (1) (Lung)

Hazardous to the aquatic environment, long-term hazard (4)
